To promote waste reduction and recycling awareness, Baguio recently organized the "Baguio SDGs - Environmental Day", a sustainable development campaign at its office. The event featured a series of activities, including a recycling competition, seminars and workshops, to encourage employees to actively participate in waste sorting and recycling, further strengthening the company's sustainability culture.

The highlight of the day was the highly popular departmental competition, "Baguio Recycling Challenge「碧」人回收大作戰 ” an one-day contest collecting nine types of recyclables from employees — waste paper, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, metals, glass bottles, milk cartons, rechargeable batteries, small electronics, and more. Equipped with a Smart Balance(智能磅) for real-time tracking of recycling quantities, the event accumulated an impressive 293 kg of recyclables within five hours only, marking a tremendous success.

The event also included multiple workshops and hybrid seminars covering topics such as household food waste management, eco-enzyme production, straw weaving, and Hong Kong’s avian ecology. These engaging sessions were fully attended, delivering practical environmental knowledge while translating sustainability concepts into actionable practices. Through employee participation, Baguio demonstrated its commitment to ESG principles in tangible ways.
