The Hong Kong International Rugby Sevens concluded successfully at the Kai Tak Sports Park. As the designated Waste Management Contractor for the venue, Baguio was proud to provide comprehensive support for this world-class sporting event.

During the event, Baguio mobilized a professional team of over 100 members to ensure the venue maintained the highest standards of cleanliness. Beyond managing the public areas of the Main Stadium, our team operated the park’s large-scale organic waste decomposition system. This advanced technology converted food waste, paper cups, and other paper containers generated during the event into compost, significantly diverting waste from landfills.

To foster a culture of sustainability, our Green Education Ambassadors launched the "Re-cycle Flash Promo," engaging enthusiastically with fans and promoting source separation at key entrances. We also hosted Upcycling Workshops, where participants used recycled Type 6 Plastic (Polystyrene/PS) to create custom keychains, turning environmental education into a hands-on, memorable experience.

While the Rugby Sevens has come to an end, Baguio’s commitment to Kai Tak Sports Park continues. We will provide ongoing, comprehensive waste management services to help the park become a global benchmark for green venues, further driving the culture of sustainable mega-events in Hong Kong.
