FWood Organic Fertilizer

FWood Organic Fertilizer is an innovative product manufactured in Hong Kong, designed to transform food waste, yard waste, and wooden waste into valuable materials. According to the Monitoring of Solid Waste in Hong Kong 2022, food waste and yard waste disposed of in landfills account for 31.4% of the total urban solid waste, exceeding 1.27 million tons annually, making it the most discarded type of waste in Hong Kong. If these are not properly managed, they can have serious environmental impacts. Baguio strives to achieve "local collection, local recycling, local use" aiming to convert waste into valuable resources. This process not only effectively reduces waste but also creates a greener future for Hong Kong and promotes sustainability of society. 

 

Production Process

The main ingredients of  FWood Organic Fertilizer come from food waste and yard waste (including wood waste). Yard and wooden waste undergo high-temperature decomposition at Biochar Production Plant operated by Baguio in the Eco Park, where they are recycled into biochar. Biochar is then combined with food waste compost generated through fermentation at O.PARK1, ultimately producing an environmentally friendly product made entirely in Hong Kong: the biochar blended food waste fertilizer— FWood Organic Fertilizer. 

 

Product Ingredients

  • Biochar (30%) 
  • Food Waste Compost (70%) 

 

Usage Instructions

Mix FWood Organic Fertilizer with soil in a ratio of 1:5 to use as a planting medium. This organic fertilizer is highly suitable for improving plant growth and providing an optimal growing environment.
